How to Prepare for the Treadmill Test

Wear comfortable shoes  and loose clothing to allow you to exercise.
Ask your provider if you should take any of your regular medicines on the day of the test. Some medicines may interfere with test results. Never stop taking any medicine without first talking to your doctor.

5.       For Pap’s Smear or Thin Prep examination:
a.       Not have sexual intercourse for 48 hours before examination
b.      Do not use antiseptic wash or antiseptic  soap in vagina area for 48 hours before examination
c.       Examination conducted when no menstruation or 7 days after after period.

6.       How should I prepare for Chest x-ray examination?

A chest x-ray requires no special preparation.
You may be asked to remove some or all of your clothes and to wear a gown during the exam. You may also be asked to remove jewelry, removable dental appliances, eye glasses and any metal objects or clothing that might interfere with the x-ray images.

Women should always inform their physician and x-ray technologist if there is any possibility that they are pregnant. Many imaging tests are not performed during pregnancy so as not to expose the fetus to radiation. If an x-ray is necessary, precautions will be taken to minimize radiation exposure to the baby.
